New Price Matching Policies
Cyclova has recently put out a couple price matching policies in an effort to stay competitive with both our regional brick & mortar competitors and online retailers, along with a 14 day store credit policy on our own in-store sales. You can check out the policies here: Price Matching Policies
We are moving forward with offering a larger selection of rental bikes that includes town cruisers, e-bikes, comfort hybrids and a nice variety of mountain bikes. We are still in process of getting this ramped up, but you can call the shop or stop by and ask about reserving a bike. Here is a link to the selection of bikes we have and daily rental prices: Rental Bikes
New Trek Checkpoint Gravel Bikes In Stock
We just had our first 2 Carbon SL 5 Checkpoints arrive this week and have also restocked the ALR 4 aluminum model that previously sold. These are some really sweet gravel rigs with up to 45mm tire clearance, rack mounts, fender mounts and lots of bottle cage mounts... The 56cm and larger frames will mount up to 4 water bottles and the 54cm and smaller frames will still fit 3 water bottles.
New Trek Roscoe 27.5+ Hardtail MTB Trail Bikes In Stock
These bikes are really popular this year and have even been hard to get, but we have managed to get a few in the shop and have a a couple more coming in the next week to fill out the available sizes. If you have any interest in these, we recommend getting in here for a test ride as Trek has been selling out fast on these bikes.
You get a lot of bike for the money with a nice build for the price point. They are great bikes for somebody that just wants to get out and have a ton of fun riding singletrack. They're 27.5+ wheels/tires with a short chainstay frame, raked out fork with a little extra travel to make for a more confidence inspiring and forgiving ride on the trails and the Roscoe 8s (which we stock) even come with a dropper post.
Overstock Shoes (Sale)
We have a pile of previous model year bike shoes that are on sale. Mostly mountain bike in either trail specific shoes or more casual shoes that can be worn on flat pedals or clipless pedals. There are a few road shoe options available as well. We even have a few pairs of those Wolvhammer winter riding boots still in stock as well if you want to get a good deal on some winter boots in the off season.

Saturday June 9th - City of Trails Race
Come on out and enjoy the amazing trails that St. Croix Falls has to offer. There are 5k, 10k, and half marathon options.
Sunday June 10th - Woolly Mountain Bike Rides
Here's a chance to discover for yourself why mountain biking is the fastest growing sport in the area and how the Woolly system of awesome trails in St. Croix Falls is becoming a favorite destination for mountain bikers through out the region! Rental bikes available and free demos! Rides start at 1 PM. Meet at the WBC trailhead at Lincoln and Maple Drive.
Each month, Cyclova hosts two running events. Sometimes these are local events that we want to support such as the above mentioned City of Trails and the below mentioned Adventure Triathlon. But all of the other times these are completely free and low key events. A few people race it, and many people just come to run with a group. Each second Saturday and fourth Sunday there will be an event. Check the Sasquatch Dash Event Page for the latest news.
Past Event Highlights
We know that it is impossible to do everything. So in case you missed it, here are a few of the events where some of the Cyclova Community participated in last month. May was a busy month!
In addition to being a sponsor of the Adventure Triathlon in Grantsburg last month, Cyclova had a great group of people up racing as well.
In dramatic fashion, Cyclova's own Steve Hamlin, won the race. We say dramatic, because second place finisher, and Cyclova team member Greg Atkinson overcame great adversity to nearly run him down in the final mile. Greg flatted only five miles into the race. Another racer's spectating crew graciously offered him their spare bike and he finished the ride on a bike, shall we say, in need of a little service. Set back by probably 10 minutes with that misadventure, Greg proceeded to paddle and then run his way back onto the podium. He passed Ben Mullin with less than a mile to go in the run like Ben was standing still. Ultimately he just ran out of trail to track Steve down.
This is a fantastic event that Cyclova is proud to both sponsor and participate in. If you are looking for an entry into multi-sport that doesn't involve swimming this is a great place to start.
Cyclova was excited to be the title sponsor of the Woolly Race this year.
After a two week delay in the original race date due to the really late winter and then some initial concerns about rain race weekend, the Woolly ended up happening under near perfect conditions.
Woolly and Cyclova were happy to welcome close to 500 racers to St. Croix Falls for a fantastic day of racing.
Fat Fish Forty Race
This was a first year race up in Webster. Featuring a healthy mix of gravel, sand road, fire road, ATV trail, Gandy Dancer, and even a little pavement, this race made for a unique experience. Dan Campion and Renae Wright were there sporting Cyclova gear along with a bunch of folks in Woolly Kit.
This race looked like a lot of fun and should be even better in year two so keep an eye out for it.
Taking place Mother's Day weekend, the Strada Fango is one of the early spring classic gravel events modeled after the European Spring Classic bike races such as the Strade Bianche.
This version is a 75 mile gravel ride in the Blue Hills. With over 4,500' of elevation gain, this ride can be deceptively hard. Mike Colaizy, Tom Krenz, and Dave Leske tackled this great event this spring.
One of the original free gravel events, if not THE gravel race, Almanzo is a 100 miler based in Spring Valley south of Rochester. This race can be a real mix of rolling gravel farm roads, steep and punchy river valleys, hard packed limestone gravel roads, loose and chunky limestone roads, 40 degree rain, or a 90 degree blast furnace.
This year's event turned out to be a great weather year with a healthy dose of fresh gravel. Mike Colaizy and Tom Krenz again teamed up to tackle this race.
Eau Claire Marathon
The Eau Claire Marathon has become a staple of a number of the Cyclova team. This is quite possibly because Ben Jonjak lives down that way and tries to tell everyone who ever says anything about running that they should come do it.
This year's contingent included Tammi B and Greg A, both fresh off of a Boston Marathon with epic weather conditions followed up by the Chippewa 50k trail run. So they were good and ready for this one. I haven't caught up with Alex R himself, but from the story his dad tells, this may have been a case of the absolute minimum training for a marathon.
Katie B and Lisa T also were busy dynamic duoing the half marathon.
Great results all around for the team including another marathon win for Tammi.
Madeline Island Marathon
Another repeat event for some of the Cyclova folks was the Madeline Island Half Marathon or Marathon. Tammi took her second win in as many marathon starts. The dynamic duo also appeared again. This time perhaps down half a person post shark attack.
